From the moment Paul left Google he started to document the creation of Pict (now Stockwell). Over the course of the first year the team created 75+ videos of their progress, new technology they invented and customer reactions to the experience.
The first month was spent creating a prototype of the concepts that proved out the user experience and feasibility. Remember this was almost a year before Amazon Go was announced so it was unclear if this would even work. The first eight videos document the prototype, which was used to raise an angel round and to convince Ashwath to leave Google and Tyler to join shortly following his PhD. From there you'll see incremental progress and a few major leaps that led to the product you use today.
There is also a shared photo album that you can view and contribute your Stockwell photos.
[It's rumored that Paul subconsciously started Stockwell to feed himself, his insatiable desire for snacks is well documented here.]
From this point on (~ April 2018) we ran out of time to create videos and we started doing weekly team meetings where most of our work was captured. To see progress since then take a look at our TGIF presentations (see below)
We also have a shared photo album filled with photos we've taken as Stockwell has grown. You can view and contribute to the album here:
